Troop 52 is a boy lead program, which has one Scoutmaster and two Assistant Scoutmasters. The boy scouts make up the Jr. Assistant Scoutmaster, Patrol Leaders, Assistant Patrol Leaders and other selected leaders by the group (see assignments/structure below).
The Troop Committee consists of parents of the Scouts who take an active part in supporting the activities of the Troop. The Troop committee meets approximately once a month at the church. We welcome all parents to take an active role in the Troop. A strong, active Troop Parent Committee is essential to a healthy troop.
Troop 52 is committed to the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) philosophy of a “boy run program.” The Scouts vote on who will be in each role. They conduct planning meetings to create the troop calendar. The Troop Committee reviews the plans, makes suggestions for change if needed, supports the plan and aids with arrangements when needed.
